This concept project was a dive head first into the world of UI/UX design. Emerged was an app I developed to be an information archive of any inquiry one could have related to Cannabis.

The idea came from the trials and tribulations I had when I first moved to Canada and didn't know anything about Cannabis, but was too overwhelmed to try. With Cannabis being a relatively new market, it is hard to come by accurate, fully comprehensive information surrounding the plant. Any questions about the different strains, consumption methods, their adverse effects, and more can be found right on the app.

The information is accurate and updated regularly, so you’re always getting the correct information. Cannabis can be used for a multitude of purposes. This is partially what pushed me to pursue this project, to hopefully continue to reduce the stigma whilst being educational. For the design, I wanted to stay away from the traditional all-green monotone theme that is often associated with Cannabis. I wanted it to be recognizable, accessible, yet casually playful, as that tends to be the vibe of most users of the substance.
